Rejuvenated

There is nothing more soothing to the soul as a soft summer rain in the early morn.  The sound of the rain summoned me from my sleep as I jumped out of bed to embrace it fully out of doors. My senses are alive as the birds rejoice in song and the trees put out a musical medley as the droplets hit the still green surface of the leaves.  As I walk in the rain, the cool sensation on my skin is the perfect remedy for 90 degree temperatures.

The plants and flowers nod in acceptance of their nourishment.

The bees are busy as the sun comes back around, ever so gently, in complete harmony with its partner in nature to go on duty.

A soft summer rain is glorious in its own right.  It is peaceful and calming and rejuvenating.  It is Mother Nature at work.

And I am grateful!

Peace in Turmoil

As the news spreads stories of pain and suffering, I wonder where in the world are the stories of GREAT JOY with LOVE IN ABUNDANCE!  Has society gone so far off the rails?  Take a step back and take a good look in the mirror.  Do you see the image of God?  For we were all, each and every one of us, born in the image of our Creator.

And as sure as I am sitting here, with love and peace in my heart from my soul, I want to know that I can make a difference in this world of chaos through the diverse cultures and issues that seem to be at the heart of it all!

WE ARE ONE!  ALL OF US!
TOGETHER, AS ONE, WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!

"Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever."

Psalm 23:6

Everything Belongs!

When you take the time and make the effort to just stop running willy nilly to and fro, you just may begin to realize that the Universe is having a conversation with you!  And that everything belongs!

Now I have passed by this barn a zillion times, always commenting on how much I love it.  And as the sun was going down on this particular journey, we pulled over just to take in the beauty.  Oh how I wish I could watercolor that sky!

As we sat there, watching the sun fade away, down over the ridge, I was completely and totally engulfed in this glorious moment capturing God's handiwork.  I couldn't even tell you how long we sat there.  I recall now, there was no talking between my husband and I, there were no words necessary.

There was also nothing else present...no lingering thoughts of where we were supposed to be, or where we had just come from, what we were doing, what we have to do next, not even noise from the cars, trucks, tractors that use this country road.  NOTHING!  AND IT WAS PERFECT!

WE JUST WERE!

 COMPLETE AND TOTAL HARMONY!

And as the sun went down on this, my favorite barn setting, on our way to and fro, I smile with the knowledge that I am blessed.  And I am exactly where I belong!

Glory of Spring

  Behold, my friends, the spring is come;
the earth has gladly received the embraces of the sun,
and we shall soon see the results of their love!
~Sitting Bull

Springtime in all of her glory...rain, sun, loads of mud and clean up from the very long and very cold winter...it is a glorious time of year!  And as I meditate and practice gratitude on a daily basis, I can't help but wonder why some folks are just never, ever happy.  I got called into work on my day off...no big deal that I had other plans, it's a short day on a Saturday.   It didn't upset me.  I am grateful to have a job that I absolutely love!  Even though, I wanted to open up all the windows in the house, let in the fresh clean air of spring, dabble in the garden, walk the dog...it's all ok. I'm still happy!

When I have alone time...completely alone, I must be out of doors to commune with nature.  I wander around the woods, picking up sticks, acorn caps, perfectly rounded stones to add to my collection, and there are no thoughts racing through my head.  I am able to JUST BE!  Therein lies the beauty and the glory of spring...peace in abundance.

Yet, when coming into contact with people who have angst and anger, bitterness and resentment always at the ready to complain or moan about, I just have to shake my head.  They cannot disturb my peaceable kingdom.  I smile, I listen and I hope they can feel the light of love that I project outward.  They have a choice.  Yet they are so caught up in the "ego" of their own existence they fail to see their own light.   Some people are so ready to place blame and see fault and judge others, that they have no idea of their own beauty that lies beneath the surface of their own body temple.
In truth we are all the same!

Head out of doors and stop the babble in the brain, the incessant mind chatter.
Be still...listen to the silence of nature and tune it!

“Realize deeply that the present moment is all you have.
Make the NOW the primary focus of your life.”
Eckhart Tolle, The Power of Now: A Guide to Spiritual Enlightenment

Gratitude

Seasons change...

And as the cold north winds blow,
the dry, brown leaves become part of the earth.

The skies turn gray with the hint of snow
and the chill prompts a deep cleansing breath
to the heart and soul....
clearing the mind of angst in the material world.

We must tune in and remind ourselves
that we are one in this universe.

The circle of life continues,
and the soul lives on.

Peace comes from within.

Ch..ch..ch..changes...again

Waking up to who you are requires letting go of who you imagine yourself to be.
~ Alan Watts

With the changing of the seasons, comes a natural time of reflection.  A time to realize that the personality that is seen or perceived by those around you, is not necessarily the true self that lies deep within your soul.  For therein, lies the true being, the true spiritual essence of your very soul.  And that is where peace resides.

Clarity

Dewdrops taken with Samsung Galaxy S3
1.  A new day dawns, leaving dewdrops on the tips of the still green blades of grass.  It is a simple JOY as the Universe continues its conversation with me and reaches into the depths of my soul to keep me in tune.

This one taken with Canon PowerShot A3300
2.  The cosmic energy that flows through the atmosphere is very powerful if you are attuned and open to receive it in all of its positive glory.

The Shawankgunk Ridge provides a vantage point for a fantastic view in the fall.
Slip into a pair of Nike sneaks and hit the trails.

3.  There is much peace in Mother Nature for the seeker.

 4.  The colors of Autumn are a message of transformation...there is an alteration taking place.  I like to think of it as a renewal, for this is the time that Mother Nature takes hold and preserves all the goodness & beauty that was bestowed upon us through Spring, into Summer until now, as she prepares for rest and renewal.
The Journey within...
5.  It is a glorious day!!!  I am in a complete and peaceful state of
JUST BEING!!!
