Let it be...

Don't look back...you're not going that way!

As 2013 draws to a close, there is time for reflection on what has transpired over the past 12 months.  In my life, there has been great joy, there has been turmoil, struggles and even tears of loss and pain.

  

But what I find amongst the multitude of thoughts and emotions as I look back over this past year, is the most incredible and profound beauty of inner peace that provides me with great love in abundance.  The simple and most perfect JOY of all!!!  LOVE, plain and simple and utterly perfect.

The peace that comes from within when you have achieved a higher consciousness is so vivid that it actually transforms your very own appearance, as though it seeps out through your pores.  It portrays an illumined spirit which others can actually see when they look closely at you.  The image or personality that your body temple projects in the material side of life is greatly enhanced by the discovery of your soul.  Soul awareness provides the opportunity to live in Heaven On Earth!  And that my friends, is truly the meaning of Life!!!

Many people seek happiness by looking externally to others and believe they must obtain certain objects or things to make them feel whole or complete.  True happiness can only be established when the Kingdom of Heaven is realized.  And it is not when your body dies...the time is now...here on earth.  And the location for that can be found in your very own heart which is connected to the soul.  When you allow your soul to awaken, you will be elevated quite rapidly to another realm of existence.  There are no religious boundaries that contain the Kingdom of Heaven.  You already own it.  Look inside of yourself, for therein lies the truth.  And we all know that THE TRUTH SHALL SET YOU FREE!

Hope Springs Eternal

Well, Spring is finally making its way to the Northeast.  It has been a very long winter and I am thrilled to see Mother Nature doing her job and forcing new growth to transform the dull, brown winter dregs to the softly colored inspirational peeks that only Spring can provide! 

 

When we think of Springtime, we automatically believe the best is yet to come.  We are hopeful. There is a powerful force at play here.  We believe that the blue sky will always be there when we look up.  Sure, the clouds will come, and with them the rains, and if we are lucky, a rainbow will grace us with its own gift of beauty and wonder... but the sky remains all around us, blue or not.

 Spring helps us to see the good in people.  For when the daylight hours are extended, people are more cheerful. They find hope in their own meanderings wherever they may lead.  Perhaps one may be inclined to perform a simple random act of kindness, prompted by a gentle smile or a kind word from a friend.  Or better yet, from a stranger.  Stranger things have happened...

As for me, this Spring is providing me with a rejuvenation or a reawakening of spirit that has gone through a tumultuous turn of events these past couple months. For a truth has come to light, and while I have been in some sort of denial of this "bigger than life" truth, it continues to gnaw at the very essence of my soul.   

It is simply new found knowledge that I must seek to find a purpose for.  For even though it is not something I can act on, and even though this new found knowledge really changes nothing at all, it has affected me in such a way that my only choice is to try to extract something positive from it.  Perhaps the brighter days of Springtime will reveal a brighter purpose or meaning for me.

Lessons Learned

Turning the page is truly easier said than done.  That is, of course in relation to moving on after experiencing a great disappointment.  For when you are the victim of a breach of trust, the natural instinct of the brain goes into attack mode.  It is an immediate response that must be put in check quickly, so as not to produce a more negative result that will encompass your whole existence.  The mind, heart and soul are connected in a very unique way.  When the mind exercises its great power in rage, the heart and soul are directly affected. And at that point your health is also in jeopardy.  The feeling of a black heart will kill the soul.

Yes, we've all heard the phrase, "revenge is sweet".  And sometimes revenge can be accomplished very easily without much effort at all. But what good is revenge if others who are completely innocent in the whole matter are caught in the crossfire?  For the truth is, no matter how sweet the act of even planning revenge may seem, it makes you equal to the perpetrator. You become a victim, all over again.  And you are left with a feeling of despair and guilt for having acted in the same manner as the one who has wronged you so terribly.  Hatred and revenge are not the answer.

No, the only way to overcome a deep and painful attack on your very existence from a breach of trust, is to acknowledge it for exactly what it is. It may have been done in a vicious manner, so as to harm, and it may have even occurred without specific malicious intent whatsoever.  Perhaps it was just an act of wanton disregard for human feeling.  Whatever the reason, the act itself is done...gone with the wind...and that, too, is how you must condition your mind to see it...done...gone...over!

The brain is powerful.  Your mind has the ability to allow peaceful existence to take over your body...heart and soul...and free you from the inner turmoil and anguish.  You must let it go!  Will yourself to find the lesson from it, because there is always a lesson to be learned when conflict obstructs our version of harmony within.  And finally, as hard as it may be, forgiveness is the way to release the mental torment that has taken hold of your human spirit.

Have faith and remember that patience is a virtue.  For this too, shall pass.  But until it does, here's a quick quip to keep you in check...
